One of the leading community colleges in Washington, Grays Harbor College has been operational for more than 100 years. Based in Aberdeen, Grays Harbor has off-site learning centers in Elma, Raymond and Ilwaco, Wash. The college offers majors in more than 15 areas, such as anthropology, fine arts, criminal justice, English, foreign languages, journalism, librarianship, mathematics, music, philosophy, physical education, political science, psychology, sociology, and theatrical studies. Its preprofessional options include architecture, natural sciences, business administration, chiropractic, dental hygiene, fisheries, forestry, geology, medicine, natural resources, naturopathic medicine, oceanography, optometry, and nursing. Additionally, Grays Harbor provides certificate courses in the fields of aquaculture, nursing assistant, diesel technology, early childhood education, formatting and publishing, industrial welding, microcomputer applications, retail bookkeeping, retailing, and watershed assessment.
