These guys are the best! I mean, lifetime service, who offers that these days? The have great values, they stand behind their work, carry a great selection, hire cool people, run all sorts of free rides and events, and operate lots of BART bike stations where I park my bike for free when I go to work. I love supporting them and am proud they are a part of my community. Thanks Alameda Bicycle! ===> Cool new website by the way! <===

Provided by YP.comHands down the best shop in the bay area. I'm not a super avid cyclist, so maybe the other shops I visited are great for those who fit in the "club" of cool cyclists. But I ride, both mountain bike and road. And I've ridden for years. So when I went bike shopping, I decided to check out another shop in Oakland (I'll keep that name out, but it's a real glitzy shop that claims to be the best in the bay). Serious snub-appeal. They didn't even acknowledge my existance for almost 10 minutes, and no one was in the shop! When they did, I got that feeling all over again, like when I was in seventh grade and felt like I totally didn't fit in. Well, I left.
I got that feeling from other shops before, like I don't wear the type of lycra they do or something so I wasn't worth speaking to. So I checked out yelp.com reviews, and stumbled across Alameda Bicycle. I'll just keep it short (noticing I'm rambling now...) - they are super nice, super knowledgeable, and got me the bike I wanted. They have a lifetime service that I find unbelievable, but they've been family owned since the sixties, so I trust it. Go here, you won't be disappointed.
