Provided by YP.comI've been taking my corgis to Greg for several years, he does a great job and they are very comfortable being left at their "spa". I recommend him.

Provided by YP.comWe had brought our dog to Greg's for almost 6 years without much more than a bleeding toenail afterwards so everything seemed fine. As I write this, I do not have anything personal against Greg, nor do I doubt his ability or his good standing with the community etc. Our bichon was groomed by an assistant a couple months ago---his ear split open, but it was probably in a weakened state anyway due to the cyst that he had surgery on. While we would have appreciated a call informing us of the problem so we wouldn't have been in shock when we picked him up to see that he needed stitches($$$!), I have to honestly say that Greg was very professional about it, apologized, paid the vet bill etc. We told Greg that next time we would like HIM to do the grooming and to be gentle, knowing what the dog had been through. This past week at while the dog was being groomed, we received a call from Greg stating "he could not believe it, the OTHER ear broke open from simply a bath and towel dry, never seen anything like it, you need to find out from the vet what the "biological problem" is with this dog," etc. So after more $$$ and three stitches, we got word from the vet (as we figured) that this dog had very healthy tissue on that ear and that this did NOT happen from a simple bath and towel dry--it had to have been a pull to get a knot out etc. Bichon's of course can get knots, but to think how hard it must have been pulled to rip the skin--ouch! We had always told the business that he is not a show dog, if you have to cut anything it will grow back! The vet took a picture and showed us that our dog was very lucky since it JUST missed breaking a vein which could have been so bad I don't even want to think about it. I am not sure why we were told it was from a bath, maybe to save his business some money again--not sure I didn't ask, I just know I need to find someone who will be gentle with our dog. It is so amazing to me that dogs love us no matter how much we mess up--I'm sure our dog will be back to his old self soon enough. If you have had good luck at Greg's you are fortunate--if you are just thinking about going there, I think more communication with a client is a good idea for this business. I would suggest getting pet insurance from the first day you own a dog--it is too late for us since it does not cover pre-existing conditions--not that much $$ and could have saved us alot--but more importantly we could have saved alot of stress for our poor little dog if we had been smarter and just found someone else after the first incident. We love our doggy!! be nice to your pet--they love you no matter what!!
Greg and his staff are wonderful. They always do a great job and you know the price you will pay up front. I have never had a moment of worry or concern. I have a standard poodle and we prefer a puppy cut and to have her ears shorter due to infection and Greg is very accommodating to anything we ask. He has never steered us wrong when it came to our Zoe. He is someone who really seems to be in the job for the love of the animals.
