Dr. Fischer double-majored in Biochemistry and Spanish at the University of Maryland, and worked in occupational and environmental cancer epidemiology as a Cancer Research Training Award fellow at the National Cancer Institute prior to starting medical school at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He took an additional year to earn a Master of Public Health degree at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. He completed an internal medicine internship at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore before returning to Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine for his dermatology residency training. He has been a presenter at national conferences and been published in major journals. He enjoys travel, fitness, tennis, and playing piano.
