I came back two weeks later for a cut with Jessica and a facial with Adia. Jessica was very accommodating and so knowledgable ...i mean if anyone can decipher my convoluted fantasies of hairstyles, I give them full credit. And she delivered. Adia had a FANTASTIC touch, my face was so soft, and clean! It looked like my pores shrunk after all of her extractions. I will be back, especially when Adia informed me that the spa uses hard wax, no more OUCH bikinis!

I did not feel comfortable at all at Circe. Very stuffy, very snobby, and the owner is OBNOXIOUS.

Upon moving to Alexandria, the search began for the right place for all my hair needs. I tried several sites and did not find a connection with a stylist or the experience. Then I discovered Circe in Old Town. All the Circe stylists provide free consultations so you learn together before the cutting begins. Next, a head massage and shampoo put me at ease for the snips to follow. By the time this first appointment was finished, the outcome was one updated hairstyle and a very satisfied customer. The smile lasted for weeks and I vowed Circe as the best salon around town. A jewel of a find! I echo satisfaction with each of the talented staff for services from hair styling, coloring, massages, facials, manicures, waxing, microdermabrasion and the tips from the makeup specialists. Every visit reflects the professionalism, continuing education, pride and interest in client satisfaction this wonderful team shares in common. Circe is an awful place with a serious lack of talent or customer service. My hair was butchered and the color I wanted was never achieved even after I went back a 2nd time for them to fix it. The owner tried to make me feel shallow for being upset by sending me a hateful email about how I should tour a cancer ward, how I should be thankful to have hair at all. Not appropriate behavior! I would stay away!

I am so happy with my experience that I took on a part time job in their call center.Here is what I see as the difference between Circe and other salons-they care!The consultation is thorough..I know exactly what I wanted and the hairdresser executed it! I love the extra value--- make up touch ups, hand massages, scalp massage with the shampoo and of course the Aveda products!!! The discounted service offerings on their weekly email blasts are huge---sign up on Circe's web site- with this economy you'll be glad you did--save big bucks!I love it here.T

Brides BlissI had a wonderful experience at Circe on my wedding day...I did have a trial run so I felt comfortable the day of---but nothing could prepare me for the welcome my bridal party received. Circe had bagels prepared, herbal tea...we were never made to wait...the hair was flawless and the make-up suberb! I had the airbrushing and lashes as well...They even had a polaroid picture they had taken on the trial run ---to make sure everything was spot on!I am a regular customer now and have recommended Circe to all of my frinds...my husband and I go in for the Couples Massage regularly.Haircuts monthly...any excuse to go back.loooove it

Highly recommend this place...if you are searching for skilled hairdressers and a staff who really does care...this is a place for you. I have never been happier with my hair and my waxing-best brazilian I have ever experienced. Hey...aromatherapy does help with the pain and I even received a free massage while I was waiting (which was only a few moments, I was early!)---not to mention the hot tea...wonderful pastries...mmmmI feel like all the attention was given to every last detail of my experience to make sure I felt welcomed and satisfied----my cup over-runnith!

My stylist left the salon in front of me and didn't come back for almost 1/2 hour. She wasn't professional but did mediocre work. The fee here is way too extravagant for the quality of work.

I scheduled a test-run as part of a wedding packaged offered by the salon. In order to reserve the package, I had to put down a large deposit, refundable only if canceled 14 or more days in advance of my wedding day. I went for a test-run 13 days prior to my wedding, and as a result of the unbelievably BAD results of the test run, I attempted to cancel my package. I was told that it was not within 14 days of the package, so my deposit would be "for fitted" [sic]. When I politely asked if there was any chance of a partial refund, I was ignored. I am not very picky when it comes to hair and makeup; I'm not much of a girly girl. However, my hair, while done nicely, was completely flat and nearly straight (from a wavy/curl) by the time I made the 10 minute trip back home. My eye makeup was extremely uneven (to the point that I laughed so hard I cried) and they didn't even use foundation or concealer (for bridal makeup!) In all, the services were over priced and poorly done.

Very relaxing, relatively easy to get an appointment without having to wait weeks and weeks!

No matter how you measure the salon/spa experience-when it comes down to it your over all experience is what you remember; how you were treated when you checked in and how you were treated when you left -stand out, as well as, the service you received. Circe treated me and my mother as if we were the only clients they had that day (and believe me they were b-u-s-y-it was a Saturday!) We were pampered, feed outstanding organic food, offered a free make-up and while I was waiting for my service (I was early) given a free hand massage!And to top it off, they even called me a few days later to see if I enjoyed my service and offered me an incentive to come back!Talk about great customer service! In a world where everyone has to "take a number" -Circe really does stand out because you are the queen for the day. (or king!)!I highly recommend Circe to all my friends and I have become a loyal customer.The hair salon rocks!

Who would have known one of Oprah's favorites right here in Old Town Alex, Va LOOOOOVE my hair color---and the Hot Stone Massage one of the best I've EVER recieved!
