Lyles-Crouch Traditional Academy is a kindergarten through fifth grade school. Established in 1958, the school is located in Alexandria, Va. Its core curriculum includes reading, language arts, mathematics, science and social studies. Lyles-Crouch Traditional Academy provides after-school music and gifted and talented education programs. The school offers membership for chess, drama, student service, French and Japanese language clubs. It has a parent-teacher association that offers financial support by organizing various fundraising events. Lyles-Crouch Traditional Academy sponsors education weeks, back-to-school nights and book fairs. The school supports several sports activities, such as basketball and soccer. It is governed by Alexandria City Public Schools.
