Washington Square Antiques, Inc has been an active member of the Old Town Alexandria, Virginia antique community for over 20 years. In addition to our shop, we participate in select Antiques shows in the Washington DC metropolitan area including the Historical Alexandria Foundation's Antiques Show and the Annapolis Heritage Antiques show, both Armacost Antiques Show promotions, and many of the Town & Country Antique shows now being held at the Lab School and Saint Albans School in Washington, DC on the grounds of the National Cathedral. Washington Square Antiques inventory consists primarily of 18th and 19th century American and English furniture, with a small mixture of high quality early 20th century furniture such as Potthast of Baltimore. We emphasize a full range of high quality antique furniture, including chests, tables, work stands, chairs, sofas and high case pieces. We also have an expanding collection of American and English fine art. Artists in our inventory have included paintings by James Gale Tyler, James McDougal Hart, William Hart, Clarkson Stanfield, Ernest Parton, John Williamson, Emile Gruppe, George Essig, Christopher Shearer and Samuel P. Dyke. The shop also is active in collectable antique prints from artists such as Mckenney & Hall, Gould, Audubon, Bodmer and Selby to name just a few. We handle a wide variety of decorative accessories, silver, porcelains and a large selection of antique brass fireplace tools, andirons and fenders.
