General Info
Wakefield High School, a part of the Arlington County Public Schools, offers academic programs in grades nine through 12. It has an enrollment of more than 1,500 students and provides classes in English, science, social studies, art, health, mathematics, drama, music and physical education. The school has facility for a variety of sports, including volleyball, field hockey, cheerleading, tennis, lacrosse, soccer and track. Its library and media center has a collection of more than 3,000 books, periodicals and magazines and offers Internet access, online catalog, referrals and multimedia resources. The school also provides career counseling, financial aid and test preparatory and tutorial assistance. In addition, it has a various clubs that organize a variety of activities that include workshops, outings, and dance and music events. Its campus is located in Arlington, Va.
