      One of New England's oldest and largest bookshops, Whitlock's offers scholarly, collectible, and generally interesting books in all fields and price ranges. The shop consists of two barns: the main ('lower') barn contains books $5 and up, as well as postcards, ephemera, and records, and the larger 'upper' barn holds about 20,000 books, all priced at less than $5 -- fiction and non-fiction, paperback and hardcover. The print loft on the second floor offers thousands of old prints and maps.
