Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School, based in Bethesda, Md., serves students from kindergarten through eighth-grade. Founded in 1941, the school is accredited by the Assembly of Elementary Schools of the Middle States Association. OLOL provides instruction in all major subjects, such as religion, mathematics, science, social studies and language arts, including English, literature, composition, reading and spelling, general music, art, Spanish, physical education and computers. It also offers a range of programs that include Catholic Youth Organization, Home and School Association, resource assistance, homework club, odyssey of the mind, before and after school care and hot lunch program. Sports at OLOL include basketball, soccer, baseball, softball and track and field events.
