Mitchell Companies was started in 1954 by William B. “Boots” Mitchell and his brother, Robert R. “Bob” Mitchell. They had a goal to make the dream of home ownership a reality for everyone. Boots and Bob Mitchell formed Mitchell Brothers Contractors with the idea of building a quality constructed home at an affordable price. Within a few years, Boots and Bob had established a family business with a solid reputation. By the mid 1960s, Mitchell Brothers became a second generation family business with two other brothers, Jim Mitchell and Jerry Mitchell, and Boot’s two sons, Mike Mitchell and Butch Mitchell. By the mid 1970’s, Mitchell was involved in all aspects of the real estate industry, including new home construction, land sales, existing home sales, commercial real estate, subdivision development, rental homes, and apartment living. Though Boots Mitchell passed away in January of 1993, the dream of the original Mitchell Brothers continues to this day with his brothers, sons and nephews. Mitchell has grown and continues to grow providing quality, affordability, professional service, genuine caring and kindness.
