I had a custom frame and mat done for a number of restored pictures and thought the work was done well. I shipped the frame up to my father in Cleveland, where it has been on his wall for a couple of years. Now, the pictures have begun to come loose and are sliding down inside the frame. I had it shipped back down to Florida to have the pictures remounted by them, thinking that they would stand by their work and reimburse for shipping since the issue was the quality of their work. Unfortunately, while they were quick to say they would repair the frame, they immediately started offering excuses why it's not their fault - it could be humidity (the frame is sealed, not possible), it could have have happened when it was shipped (2 years ago? And I'm dealing with it now? Come on...) etc. The long and short of it is that they are willing to fix what they didn't do right, but not claim any responsibility for what the problem is. So if you want something done by them - don't expect it to stay looking good for long. You might as well have it done at a craft store and re do it every couple of years. We had the frame done here because they had a good reputation. Well, I guess that reputation is worth absolutely nothing...
