The Brooklyn AIDS Task Force is a nonprofit organization that provides community- based services to the individuals affected by AIDS infected. It offers AIDS testing and treatment, case management, counseling and social services. The organization provides drug treatment, support groups and community advocacy programs. In addition, it offers relapse prevention, stress management and community development programs. The organization s First Steps Alcohol & Drug Treatment Program includes stabilization and AIDS and substance abuse treatment services. Its education department provides treatment programs for at-risk populations of adolescents, women, children, lesbians, families and sex offenders. The Brooklyn AIDS Task Force s clinical services department offers community development and mental health and pregnancy screening services. It is located in Brooklyn, N.Y.
