Established in 1978, the Center for Family Life in Sunset Park is a family and social service organization that serves more than 13,000 individuals. The organization provides youth development and community building programs that include family counseling and foster care. It also offers cultural, educational and recreational programs in public schools. The Center for Family Life in Sunset Park provides adult and youth employment services. In addition, it distributes grocery products to individuals and families in the time of crisis. The organization administers an advocacy clinic that resolves matters related to health care, housing, immigration, utilities and tax credits. The Center for Family Life in Sunset Park offers tax filing assistance to families with dependent children. The organization is operated and sponsored by the SCO Family of Services, which is one of the largest nonprofit child and family service agencies in New York.
