Founded in 1914, HeartShare Human Services of New York is a nonprofit human services agency that offers special and support services to individuals with developmental disabilities. The agency offers residential and adult day programs, mental health services, Medicaid service coordination and recreation programs. HeartShare Human Services of New York also conducts parent training classes and offers case management and financial reimbursement services. The The agency additionally offers foster care prevention, adoption, counseling and advocacy services and HIV/AIDS-related services, as well as youth and energy assistance programs. The agency operates a network of group homes and supported apartments in New York City and provides residential services to more than 200 adults with developmental disabilities.
