We went to American Sand and Gravel to purchase top soil. Although initially the folks were friendly and helpful, what they delivered was definitely NOT top soil. After the first rain you could see only sand, gravel, rocks and broken glass. Now it is like hard white clay. And we paid $300 for this. When we registered our complaint, we were told that it was not just top soil but had sand added. This is not what we paid for. He had understood the purpose and use of the soil and why we needed top soil He told me he was busy and had to go. No offer even attempted to reconcile this fraud.

Purchased two loads of topsoil appx a year ago with purpose of laying sod, wasted expense due to amount of granite “filler” rock. Eventually used to fill washed out areas on perimeter trail around property. Buyer beware if you use this business

They loaded my truck with what I needed, and I planned on making more trips. In our conversation, I found out they closed early on Saturdays and was disappointed I was not going to be able to finish what I had started that day.



As we continued to talk, he told me he needed to get home to help his son practice for his baseball game that night (his son's team, at that time, had not won a game yet). I was totally impressd. He could have waited on me to make my 2nd and 3rd trips, making more money but instead he stated where his priorities stood. I do not know if they are Christian but to me, this is what a Christian man would have done.



I actually waited until they opened again to do business with them and to tell them why I would only do business with them. Family came first!



By the way, his son's team won that night. Hooray!!!!!!!!!!!
