Founded in 1970, Western School of Technology is an educational institution that offers a range of academic and recreational opportunities for students in grades 9 through 12. The school enrolls more than 880 students. Western School of Technology conducts classes in the areas of automotive service technology, cosmetology, culinary arts, environmental science and information technology. The school provides various athletic opportunities, such as football, soccer, volleyball, cross-country and cheerleading. Western School of Technology maintains a library and cafeteria. The school operates a parent-teacher-student association that conducts meetings. Western School of Technology also offers instruction in science, mathematics, social studies and English. The school is a part of Baltimore County Public Schools, which governs several elementary, middle and high schools.
