The Prince George's County Police Department operates investigation services and strategic management bureaus and support and patrol services divisions. It provides law enforcement and crime prevention services to Prince George's County, Md. The department also has auto theft, firearms examination, computer forensics and financial crimes units, as well as internal affairs, special operations and narcotic enforcement divisions. The Prince George's County Police Department intervenes in cases of homicide, sexual assault, rape and robbery. In addition, it provides citizens, youth and family services and operates homeland security and crisis response teams. The Prince George's County Police Department maintains a location in Clinton, Md.
