- Primary CareDr. Rosenberg is active in Rhode Island Primary Care Physicans Corporation (RIPCPC), a physician organization comprised of over 130 primary care physicians in the state all dedicated to improving patient care. His office has been a pioneer in the concept of the Patient Centered Medical Home, which helps to proactively manage chronic medical issues in a balanced and focused manner. In 2010, he was selected as RIPCPC’s Physician of the Year.
- Smoking CessationWe are continually working to improve care to our patients. We have added a depression-screening questionnaire to our medical record. This simple test has aided the practice in diagnosing cases of depression that may have not been otherwise detected. The NCM is able to offer individualized diabetes education as well as group classes for our patients. Smoking cessation education, cholesterol, and pre-diabetes are also some newer programs at FHSM.
- Family PracticeOur board-certified Family Physicians are devoted to the health care of patients of all ages. We provide annual physical examinations, well child check-ups, same day sick visits, sports injury evaluations, minor surgical procedures and chronic disease management. Drs. Puerini, Rosenberg, and Wilson have all been appointed Assistant Professors of Family Medicine at Alpert Medical School of Brown University.
- Emergency CareOne hour for a routine call. But for emergency situations such as chest pain, brisk bleeding, shortness of breath, severe pain, or an allergic reaction, just call 911 so as not to lose valuable time. After speaking with you or a family member, your doctor will assess whether to see you in the office, send you to the hospital, or have you access an Urgent Care or Walk-in Center.
- Flu ShotsIts getting to be that time of year, namely flu season. Current guidelines recommend a flu vaccine for everyone, especially the young, the old and those with chronic medical problems. Even if you are not one of these high risk patients, getting the vaccine will help protect your loved ones from getting the flu. We understand that the vaccine is not 100% effective, but studies have shown a significant reduction in risk of getting the flu when you are vaccinated.
