Deer River High School provides students education in grades seven through 12. It is a public coeducational school that serves more than 500 students of the Itasca County area in Minnesota. Its syllabus includes various subjects, such as English, mathematics, science, social studies, computer applications, and art, music and language. In addition to its core curriculum, the school offers a vocational curriculum, such as business, technology, and family and consumer science. It offers various sports, including basketball, golf, track and field, football, volleyball and wrestling. The school provides personal development courses to all students to develop their personal, interpersonal and decision-making skills while assisting them in identifying potential career interest. The school is located in Deer River, Minn., and is operated by the Independent School District 317 Deer River.
