      The Colorado Mental Health Institute at Fort Logan is a psychiatric hospital. It offers medical services for individuals with complex, serious and persistent mental illnesses. Established in 1961, the hospital has more than 150 inpatient and over 15 residential beds. The Colorado Mental Health Institute at Fort Logan manages a staff of nearly 405 employees. The hospital also provides behavior modification, psychotherapy and psychotropic medication services. The Colorado Mental Health Institute at Fort Logan offers pastoral counseling, psychosocial rehabilitation, and occupational and speech therapy services. It is accredited by The Joint Commission. The hospital offers internship programs for psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, registered nurses, and occupational and music therapists. It is certified by Medicaid and Medicare. In addition, the hospital operates adult, children and adolescent, and geriatrics/deaf/aftercare divisions. The Colorado Mental Health Institute at Fort Logan is operated by the Colorado Department of Human Services, which is a part of the state government of Colorado.
