We have used Curran Opticians for our daughter's last two rimless glasses and we truly love them! Bill and his staff are so easy and wonderful to work with! And truly the glasses make such a difference on her face; they let her face shine instead of the glasses! Our daughter won't wear any other pair of glasses now. For her second pair, she asked that we get her ones exactly like her first pair. My family and I are very grateful for all Curran Opticians is doing to make a nice pair of glasses for young kids. Also, in case you are wondering (like I was), they are very durable glasses...they have withstood soccer practice, playgrounds, and little brothers.

We have been coming to Curran's for a 5 years now. I cannot even begin to tell you the great experience we have had as customers. A few days after we had purchased our daughter's first pair of glasses, she was complaining about how bulky and heavy they were so, with the advice of our good friend, we went to see Bill at Curran's. Immediately, he introduced us to the rimless glasses which proved to be a true blessing for us and our 3 year old. She beamed from ear to ear the second Bill put them on her face. Ever since that first visit, we have had nothing but great service and great compassion from everyone at Curran's. Example: the evening before Anna's first day of kindergarden, she sat on her glasses and broke them. We were in a panic and called over to the shop right at closing time and explained the situation. Bill told us to come over and he would fix them. Never hesitated. It took us 20 minutes to get there and another 30 minutes to fix them. He truly went above and beyond!

Currans' reputation for quality, services and knowledge is without question. What I did question was how much more was I paying for that. After shopping around, I began to realize I'm not paying any more for that. Currans' prices were very competitive, especially when compared to the large chain store. While it is true you can find cheaper frames at so-called discount places, all you are really getting is a junky frame for a lower price. If you compare the quality, name brand frames that you'll find at Currans, with the same frame at the large chain stores, you will invariably find that Currann's price is lower. So you see, you do not have to compromise quality for price at Currans, you can have it all ! -M.J.

For two years, our 10-year-old granddaughter has been wearing lightweight rimless glasses custom designed for her at William J. Curran & Son. When you walk into Currans, you can just feel the quality and professionalism that the establishment has to offer. I brought my 3 yr. old son there for his 1st pair of glasses and a more pleasant experience I can't imagine! I was so concerned that my son (or myself) would reject the glasses but at the end my son could not wait to wear his glasses. The frames they showed my son were the coolest and best fitting frames I've ever seen! The opticians there, Bill and Mike, were so friendly and knowledgeable. Great place to get glasses,I never went anywhere else. Bill Curran and Mike Shanahan are wonderful Opticians that always provide quality above all. They do wonderful work for all age groups, even babies. If you want to look good in your eyewear then I highly recommend them.

At age 3, we learned my daughter needed glasses. After visiting many opticians (local and chain), I was frustrated that we couldn't find anyone who specialized in children's glasses and proper fit. In desperation, we purchased a pair from one shop and realized they were so tight that they left indents on her temples. Finally, our doctor at CHOP recommended Curran. I initially went in, without my daughter, to get a feel for their selection and expertise. Mike showed me their rimless children's glasses and told me about the lenses, fit and benefits. From that first encounter, I knew that this was the place I had been searching for - I was overwhelmed with appreciation and relief that we would be getting the best quality and best-fitting glasses. I purchased my first pair from here in 2009. They told me they would be the best pair I ever had. hmmmm. Well, long and short of it they were right! The crizal stuff is amazing. Most recently Bill and Mike (many phone calls from me) helped me replace lenses in my mother's glasses and I just can't thank them enough. My mother is ill so she could not come there. I have been a customer since the l970's and can say that William J Curran & Son are tops in the optical field. I have received the best in eyewear and in service, wether I needed help choosing the latest in lenses or the most flattering frames, or, simply coming in for an adjustment on an old pair of glasses. Recently, my brand new glasses got badly scratched in an accident. There was no defect in the lenses and Mr. Curran still replaced the lenses free of charge! We were referred to Curran Opticians 3 years ago by my daughter's CHOP doctor. She had extremely thick and heavy bifocal glasses. Even though Curran's was a 45 minute ride, I figured we'd give it a try. Boy was it worth the trip!!! Her new, rimless glasses were so lightweight. They treat you extremely well and take the time to ensure you are getting the best piece(s) of eyewear that fit, stylish, and that you can wear relatively trouble-free for at least 3 years. I bought the Silhouette manufacturered frames and cannot be more satisified with their quality as well as the professionalism and customer service rendered by Mike and Bill. The Silhouette frames are expensive-but well worth it. I've had my clear glasses and sunglasses for 3 years without any problems. I know I can also take it to Bill and Mike if any adjustments are needed. I have superb confidence that you are getting the best opticians in the Delaware Valley when you go to Curran Opticians.
