I reside in East Brunswick, and I used to love going to Perkins for breakfast. Unfortunately, the Perkins in East Brunswick has gone down hill and the food is now terrible. The last few times I visited this place, the food was disgusting. I liked ordering the steak (medium rare) and eggs (over easy) and pancakes. However, the cooks they have hired DO NOT know how to cook. During my last visits, the medium rare steaks I ordered were disgustingly cooked. On each of these visits, I sent my dish back. On my visit, prior to my last, I was actually given a ill prepared steak that I sent back again. Can you believe, the waiter returned with the same steak I sent back 10 minutes later. When I complained to the manager, she did not care. She simply told me to order something else on the menu. On my last visit, the steak was a disgusting color and looked terrible and the eggs were so under cooked, that I was afraid that I would get sick. I sent it back again. The manager during that visit also told me to just order something else on the menu. Will not go back there. They need to replace their cooks and management, or they will continue to lose business.

I'm there weekly. Food always fresh. Restaurant is clean. Waitresses friendly. Prices are very low (I'm sorry for waiting staf if they get only 15% tip. I can't help it but give a little more.).
