This restaurant is a treasure. It is beautifully appointed, very serene, and it has, quite possibly, the best Japanese cuisine, available anywhere in the DC Metropolitan area. We stopped in for lunch today, and were greeted by a cheerful staff, and served some fantastic food. In particular, one of their house special makimono, the Lobster Tempura Roll, was, without a doubt, the best japanese cuisine item I have ever tasted. Additionally, they have plenty of vegetarian options, along with lots more menu items to try, including Steak, Seafood, and Thai noodle dishes, along with some reasonably priced lunch specials. They even have several Bento Box lunch combinations, featuring several different kinds of teriyaki. This is what a restaurant is supposed to be. Excellent food, excellent service, excellent ambiance. Just Excellent!

Paul Li and family have opened the BEST sushi restaurant anywhere. His creativity combined with his desire to serve the freshest, tastiest and unique sushi items and to cater to his customers cannot be beaten in any restaurant of any price range. People who have eaten sushi all over the world including during a long residence in Japan say that his sushi compares with the best anywhere. We proudly bring all our friends and family to enjoy the best quality and warm atmosphere which Nova presents. Don's miss the kitchen menu as well. The filet mignon dish, the crispy snapper and their pad tai cannot be beaten. We are working our way through the menu and have not found any dishes that are not the best of its kind. Their daily lundh menu is reasonably priced and offers so much food for the money. We have been there several times each week since it opened having followed Paul from his previous employments. The Chesapeake Bay and Edgewater rolls cannot be beat. Enjoy and feel welcome.

This is a five star sushi restaurant. The atmosphere is wonderful, the staff is impeccable and the sushi is the freshest I have ever had. You have to try the spicy tuna hand roll. OMG! I don't know if anyone is aware but Paul the owner was the sushi chef at Fuji and has now opened his own restaurant. Good Luck Paul!!!!!

Nova is simply awesome. The sushi is top quality and the people who run it are even better. Cannot recommend them highly enough. Go there now. Period.

I was there for the opening night this past Saturday. All I can say is...AMAZING!!! Sushi is extremely fresh with very nice presentation! A LOT of house rolls to choose from. Extensive sushi roll list. I talked about this place non-stop the next day! Just delicious! Can't wait to go back!!! 5+ stars!
