A very strong regional museum. I've been there twice and both times the exhibitions were stellar and the personnel were friendly and helpful. The small museum staff curates many of the shows themselves, and having worked in the New York art world myself I can say that they do an extraordinary job for such limited resources. They seem to have a true love of and interest in the art and cultural artifacts that they show. The museum is also affiliated with the Museum Frame Shop on the same block, and has further exhibitions awaiting you in that building. And at four dollars for admission, it's also a terrific deal!
