It is very nice place to be! The folks that work there are knowledgeable and friendly, and they have many places to renting all price points, locations, types and sizes. Its a tough business to be in, and they do a better job than most.

Bear Paw appeared to have the majority of homes we were most interested in so we reached out to the noted property manager, Darlene, to share our story and obtain her guidance through the process. It was the best decision we have made through this entire journey. She was upbeat, positive and so personable. Her strong customer focus and responsive, caring nature really helped ease our anxiety around the renting process. During our stay, we visited numerous homes and ultimately landed on the one for us. Knowing our time together was limited, she met with us each and every day of our trip.flexing her schedule to ensure we got the most out of our visit despite an unexpected snowstorm and other personal commitments that she rearranged to ensure we could finalize our home rental contract while in town. We have complete trust and faith in our on-going partnership with Darlene and Bear Paw Property Management and are so very grateful that our paths crossed.Bear Paw delivers what they promise.

I have rented home two times in the area. Both times I was moving from out of state and had to travel over a weekend to view properties. Both times I had appointments to view homes from two other management companies in the area. Both of those companies lied to me,One told me properties were rented because they didn't feel like doing their job and showing me the property I traveled across the country to see. First they made up some weird RULE that they require people to view properties in person before they will SHOW you the property...OK. that defeats the entire point of their job doesn't it? After going to see it, I called them. Then they said I had to send them my ID, application, and viewing request. But it had to be faxed to them since they DIDINT have an office I could go to. Not the easiest thing to do while raveling out of town. Did that at kinkos. Then after all that effort, they told me they showed the property earlier in the day and that it was leased ASAP...one problem. When they sent me that email at 8PM , I was at the house at that very moment taking photos and there was about a foot of snow surrounding the house and 1/2 mile road leading to the house....meaning no one has set foot anywhere near that house in weeks (That was elk Meadow properties). Or another company said I was accepted for the lease to avoid refunding my my deposit. Took deposits from other prospective tenants AFTER telling me I was approved telling me they were working on the lease to fax me, 4 weeks later and 5 days before I was supposed to move, tell me they refused to accept my lease. Then said they would overnight me my deposit...I had to pick it up in person a MONTH LATER. (that was Welcome home rentals). Both times I had to find emergency last minute options and I found properties being leased by Bear Paw. BOTH times Bear paw Immediately took me to view their properties. Even offering to drive me. Didn't ask me for all sorts of forms, ID and no weird rules for viewing their properties. And BOTH times, I had been accepted for a lease within days. Bear paw is by far more professional then the other property management companies in the area and they are honest. Don't waste your time with the other big property management companies in the Evergreen area. They will lie to you assuming your oblivious to everything and lead you on just to get your money or because they are too lazy to show property they are also being paid to show. So either the prospective renter or the home owner is getting ripped off. I am currently renting a home managed by bear paw and if I had a home that I wanted to rent out, I would trust them over anyone else in the area to actually show the house, get it rented, and to manage it properly.

more money hungry than a personal injury lawyer

We currently have a home we own rented through Bear Paw. Our tenant notified Eric at Bear Paw that there was a water leak in the house. We were notified by email a week after Eric was notified. Yes, email!! Not even a phone call!! We have been leaving messages and emails for another week trying to find out what is going on with the leak. STILL NO PHONE CALL BACK!!! I finally was able to reach Eric yesterday by phone and was told to call the tenant myself that he did not know what was going on. REALLY???? Why are we paying a management company when two weeks after them being notified of a water leak we still do not know what is going on and WE have to call the tenant??? I am in Ohio and my husband is in Afghanistan, we can not just go check on things. Eric actually said "I have over 300 properties and you are not a priority to me. When are you going to respect my time?". He even wanted me to get ahold of my husband when it was midnight in Afghanistan and he is in a war zone. Eric said he didn't care where my husband was, that if he (my husband) wanted to talk that he would have to find a way to do it after 9 and before 5. This statement proves that all he cares about is collecting the money monthly and not managing the properties. I've never met some one that thinks so highly of themselves that they would tell some one in a war zone that they need to find a way to call between 9-5 Mon - Fri. With 300 properties at an average of $200 commission a month he is making over $60,000 a month! He should either cut back on how many homes he has or hire enough people to effectively do their job. I guess I should have known when he showed up at our mountain home in a BMW that he bragged about being paid in full and talked about how he lives in Littleton because he doesn't like "mountain folk". I'm just glad that he thinks I'm to high maintenance for asking about a water leak that he is terminating our agreement. Now we can find a real property manager.

Worst Experience Ever

This company does not even deserve one star. They are difficult to get a hold of via phone or email, they break their own rules regarding showing the property to prospective tenants, are so lazy and incompetent that they try to pass off their duties to the tenant. Quadruple check the lease for small minor details that they failed to mention in their initial correspondences...and confirm with the landlord who told us different facts, costing us over $1000 extra than what was presented initially. We left the house cleaner than when we moved in and are still waiting for our security deposit. The return of the deposit has been a shady process, where they keep changing what they claim to need every couple of days as though they don t have the money to return to us. This is one of the most infuriating companies I have ever had to deal with - wish I had more space for more examples. I would abandon my dream house if they were managing it. Save yourself the headache, time, and money.
