My recent rental from Fairfield Hertz was the worst experience I’ve ever had from any business, period. They failed to provide the promised car class that was approved by my insurance carrier. The vehicle did not have a full tank upon leaving the lot even though they claimed it was. They falsely described the fuel replacement fee and procedures which was only determined after seeing a gas charge of $40.42 added to my credit card even though the car was returned with a FULL topped off tank. I called to politely explain my situation expecting to get a full refund. However, I was given numerous excuses and was told that a note would be let for the Supervisor to contact me. I waited several days w/o any contact. Several additional calls were made still w/o resolve. After one week of attempts to speak with the Supervisor I was able to make contact. He agreed to issue a credit within 5 days. It’s now been 7 days with no credit issued. The business is obviously being run with neglect individuals who are playing with fraudulent practices. Avoid them at all costs!
