- DivorceMy name is Attorney Wm. Bradley Kellogg (Brad). I am an experienced matrimonial and family lawyer and divorce mediator, and practice law and divorce mediation in Fairfield, Connecticut.
- Child SupportConnecticut has guidelines that in most cases need to be followed in determining how much child support the non-residential parent will pay to the residential parent. Total child support is determined by combining the joint net income of the parents and then consulting the guidelines at that joint net income level, to determine the total weekly child support. The percentage contribution of the total child support by the non-residential parent is determined by multiplying his percentage of the joint total net income times the total child support under the guidelines. A parent has a legal obligation to support each child until he or she reaches the age of eighteen (18) or graduates from high school, whichever occurs last, but the child support obligation does not extend beyond the age of nineteen (19), unless the parties agree.
- Child Custody and VisitationI am a skilled divorce lawyer with knowledge and understanding of the family laws of this state. I am an experienced negotiator and family trial lawyer. Additionally, I am an experienced divorce mediator, who is committed to mediation as an alternative method for couples seeking to dissolve their marriage. I am a member of the Family Law Section of the Connecticut Bar Association, the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association, and the Connecticut Council for Divorce Mediation. I am trained and certified to represent children in child custody matters.
- Spousal SupportWhen we came to Brad to mediate our divorce we shared one perception, and that was we were incapable of communicating effectively with one another. Due to this misperception, we each individually assumed that we were very far apart concerning the matters of custody, property division, spousal support, and college expenses. Brad helped us listen to each other, and soon, albeit surprisingly, we became aware that we were not as far apart as we assumed, and further, we each had valid positions as it concerned our differences on all the issues that needed to be decided in the context of our divorce. Consequently, with Brad's guidance and focus we were able to arrive at a comprehensive and fair agreement, which we believe will endure. If you have any questions concerning either our experience or mediation services provided by Brad, please give Brad your phone number or e-mail address, so we can contact you.
