General Info
Halfway between musically rich Macon and cosmopolitan Atlanta - and with easy access to I-75 - this KOA lies in the heart of Georgia. Though you'd never know it from the quiet country setting, the campground is convenient to the city services of Forsyth and a host of regional attractions. Sample true Southern hospitality in lively villages. Explore lovely lakes, splashing waterfalls and rivers plump with catfish. Snap photos in charming Juliette, where Fried Green Tomatoes was filmed, then cool off on 3,600-acre Lake Juliette. Movie fans can relive Gone with the Wind at Jonesboro's Road to Tara Museum, less than an hour's drive. Visit Macon during its Cherry Blossom Festival for a burst of spring color. Gather your group at KOA's rally center with its full-service kitchen. Basketball, volleyball and pedal boats keep everyone busy. Early spring to late fall (Fridays/Saturdays), the Forsyth KOA Express Train provides free late evening narrated tours of the city of Forsyth.
