My mother was on hospice in a nursing home in North Ft Worth for 4 months. They were excellent in providing extra nursing care and support for our family. These hospice nurses are angels!

My Father in law was dying in a Nursing home and these people provided none to the services they promised, all they basically did was send someone to bath him in the morning and sent a med pack with his pain meds, The nursing home was already giving him a bath. I think the nursing home Doctor could have prescribed him pain meds. They also lost his DNR which almost resutled him being sent to the hospital against his wishes. They had told us they could send someone to sit with him in his last days, the day before he died. We had been with him for 3 days and asked if someone could come relieve us for a few hours, they sent someone to do a "assessment" and said "While he was "actively dying" he was not close enough to death to warrant someone coming out." He passed the next day, it took the nurse 1 1/2 hours to get there, she was rude and had lost the funeral home info so we just ended up calling the funeral home ourselves. One word that sums this hospice up is "Worthless"
