Provided by YP.comI have been going to Dr. Fisher for over 10 years. I have recommended him to friends and family many times. Everyone that has gone to Dr. Fisher has nothing but praise for this doctor. He is a very thorough and knowledgeable physician. I would recommend this doctor to anyone.

Provided by YP.comDo NOT go to Dr Fisher. Among my complaints:
**His hours are terrible and he only accepts cash or check. (I can live with this part.)
**He instructs his calling service that he does not call in medication refills on weekends. (not good since breathing is kind of important and all I need is a routine inhaler refill -- looks like I'm stuck until Monday unless I make a $100 trip to the ER)
**Last summer, I was ill and tried to see if I could get well on my own. It didn't work and I got to the point where I needed to see someone at least within the next day or two but he had no openings until the end of the week, which I took. But I started feeling so bad I went to Urgent Care, they ran some tests, and told me to keep my appointment with Dr. Fisher so that he could look over the test results and provide care. DR FISHER REFUSED TO SEE ME THAT FRIDAY BECAUSE I WENT TO URGENT CARE. Ended up being admitted to the ER.
I liked him during my initial visit but, after these two incidents, I'm dropping him immediately!!!

Doctor and Office Manager extremely rude and arrogant. Doctor requires patients to return to office for routine lab results so he can collect office fees. Horrible experience all around.

Provided by YP.comVery arrogant physician without the knowledge and expertise to match. Provider requires patients to return for general lab results. Very greedy practices

Provided by YP.comIt's tough being a patient these days, when--despite a shortage of family physicians--doctors are leaving primary care in droves, expressing their dissatisfaction about the stress, paperwork, etc. And when the specialties offer the potential of higher pay and fewer headaches, why would a competent doctor (and there doesn't seem to be a very high percentage of them in the first place) choose family practice, anyway? Why not work in your field and make a great living at the same time? Under these circumstances, we patients are hit with a double blow: to go along a shortage of family doctors, there's a disproportionately extreme shortage of really good family doctors. For a good doc to stick with family practice, he/she'd have to 1) care a great deal about the patients, 2) not care about making big bucks, and 3) be willing to deal with the added hassles. It takes a pretty rare, special person. Basically, it takes someone like Dr. Fisher.
Dr. Fisher has treated me for several issues and has performed minor surgery on my back. His diagnoses have been right on, his bedside manner engagingly genuine, and his technical skills excellent. These days I don't get to see him very often, having moved out of state, but if you live in his area and manage to become one of his patients, please value the experience and understand how lucky you are.
