I am a board-certifed nurse practitioner in psychiatry and family medicine, with more than 22 years of training and experience treatingpatients with psychiatric disorders across the lifespan and across practice settings. Family medicine experience illustrated the gap between medicaland psychiatric care, and how the mind/body connection is often ignored. These gaps in care encouraged Jose to pursue a post graduate degree as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from the University of Hea
