I've never really been happy with my living room - traditional in style, dark, and drab. We purchased some new furniture, but when I tried to find fabric for new window treatments, I was discouraged with the selection in the 4 stores I visited and felt stuck. I called Deborah and presented her with two big challenges right off the bat - 1)decorating around a dark brown overstuffed leather sectional and a loud, multicolored chair and 2) telling her I'd really like to have the room transformed by Thanksgiving, giving her about a 6 week time frame. She immediately got to work, starting off by really listening to me and quickly figuring out what was needed for the change I desired. She then brought the most beautiful fabrics, much better quality than anything I had seen - they looked very expensive but were very reasonably priced. We then selected fabrics for pillows, a custom-made ottoman. and an antique settee to be reupholstered. Since we have an open floor plan and the living room was undergoing a dramatic change, she suggested ways to make a more cohesive look through artwork, accessories, new drapes and window treatments for the dining room and kitchen. She brought the most amazing artwork, accessories, and lamps - I loved everything she chose because she learned my preferences very quickly. She and her assistant, J.R. worked tirelessly, and were always pleasant and fun to work with. Unbelievably, everything was completed by Thanksgiving, and the results were nothing short of amazing! When my kids arrived from college, as well as other family members and guests, they couldn't believe the difference! My son came home a few days before everything was completed, and once the final things arrived, he said, "Wow, Mom, this place is really looking groovy!" - high praise coming from a guy who previously never paid much attention to such things. I'm so glad I called Deborah - she has a vision and access to such wonderful things that I could never begin to match. My house is so beautiful now - bright, full of color, but also calming and relaxing - and all at a very reasonable price! I honestly couldn't feel more positive about the entire experience.

Deborah makes the client relationship feel like a partnership. She invests so much thought in each design element. She is an excellent source for services and merchandise to make your home magazine beautiful without being over designed. She turned a our great room into our favorite room in the house with a custom designed cocktail ottoman and two side chairs along with amazing drapes that tie the rug and other furnishing together. She even selected hardware for some of our built-in cabinets and drawers to give a more customized look. It's a timeless design that we'll enjoy for years. She is very affordable, works with any budget and at your pace.

I’ve found an excellent source for rugs, upholstery, lighting, paint color and fabrics to update and bring new life to my rooms. Deborah Welch has transformed our office space making it a favored room in the house. We kept our old office desk and chair. Deborah had our desk chair re-upholstered in a beautiful fabric and she also suggested a slightly richer wall paint color to better accent existing art work. Then, she supplied a valance, rug, side table and leather chair to give the room a completely new look. I would highly recommend Deborah to give an existing room new life. She is very affordable and a delight to work with on any project. I plan to use her for years to come as I furnish and update all my remaining rooms.

I researched designers in our area and Deborah Welch was the only designer that really appeared to use her client’s style to turn your house into a home. If you view her website, you’ll see the wide variety of styles that she is capable of creating based her client’s wishes. Deborah's years of experience was very apparent when we discussed our project with her. She gave us an honest assessment of the pros and cons, whether it was furniture layout, color coordination or fabric selection She was very sensitive to your likes and dislikes and was quick to respond with suggestions and ideas. My husband and I have been elated with the outcome of every project. We have stayed within our budget and have progressed at a reasonable pace. Deborah's understanding of design and style have ensured that we will have a look that will stand the test of time.

We had been wanting to order drapes for our living room and I had been to every fabric store within a 50 mile radius (numerous times). Deborah came in with the most incredible selection of fabrics-MUCH higher quality-at very reasonable prices. The drapes have been installed-the fabric has such depth and richness. Not only that...my ceilings feel higher and my room feels larger! We are thrilled!

I spent hours looking for fabrics to recover a couch & chair. I found two fabrics that would work, but I was less than thrilled about.
