I recently hosted a surprise birthday party for my husband in their large dining room. Their food and service were excellent. Their new Chef, Chris LeHardy, prepared special appetizers which were especially delightful for my guests. I would not hesitate to hold another function at the Legion. The location is the original North End Country club. Being an American Legion, the food is very reasonably priced. My experiences there have been for lunch and the food was excellent. Although the facility is old, I didn;t notice any of the problems previously mentioned. If you are a legion member or a guest and don't need fancy surroundings it's a good place to stop in for a meal. I prefer the nostalgic atmosphere to the fast food and sports bars that are just down the road.

The place is old, smells and stained carpets are no where you want to have any get together. The service is slow. Not handicap assessable, unless you want to go to the end of the building while everyone else goes in the front door.
