Founded in 1948, Normont Elementary School provides learning opportunities to students in kindergarten through grade five. The school s academic curriculum includes classes in reading, writing, math, science and social studies. It also administers the English as a Second Language program and supports bilingual classes. Normont Elementary School is a Title I school that offers student programs related to music, art and physical education. The school has a staff of more than 50 employees. Normont Elementary School maintains a location in Harbor City, Calif. The school is a part of the Los Angeles Unified School District, which operates various elementary, middle, high and adult schools.
