The Harriman Police Department works to preserve peace and deter criminal activities through the enforcement of local, state, and federal laws and ordinances. It employs more than 20 sworn officers and civilian employees. The department coordinates activities with community organizations and assists school administrators. The Harriman Police Department maintains a training unit that educates the police officers in law enforcement and emergency management. In addition, it provides neighborhood patrols and investigates crime-related issues. The department is located in Harriman, Tenn.
