Anthony’s Collision & Custom Works, 1*, bad review!

Anthony’s Collision & Custom Works, 1*, bad review! Anthony tried to hand me a jar of paint to fix myself what he was supposed to do! Incomplete job performed after year long delay.

August 2017 we bartered his use of my truck going 900 miles to Connecticut to pick up the rest of his tools to operate his business here, in exchange for repairing scratches on my truck, detail it and any paint chips to like new condition. He did not feel the work would be done well in makeshift quarters and requested waiting until his future shop was ready. Reluctantly agreed after he reaffirmed his word on this was good.

By word of mouth I heard about the June opening of his shop. On the way to the Fair with mutual friends we stopped by ...2 more weeks before he would be available. He would pick up the truck at my residence as promised and return it. When calling to remind him of the appointment he pushed it back another week to August 7th.

Anthony first asked if his worker, unknown to me, could stop by for the truck... absolutely not. Tony arrived at 8 a.m. Saying it would be ready at 4. I agreed to work with him and pick it up then. He was finished 2 hours earlier than expected.

At pickup the truck scratch and rust were repaired well, but the truck was not detailed and the stone chips were not repaired … both had been promised. Why not? He offered me a jar of the paint to touch it up myself! This is supposed to be an auto body shop that can't fix paint chips? When I balked he said he'd do it when in my neighborhood. I left steaming to calm down.

Next day I tried to connect on Facebook, was told he doesn't check it. Tried to connect by email, but it didn't work. Texted directly and Tony said he only had one guy working (that's not my problem) so I should wait longer. I paid the dues a year ago. Everyone that's been worked on from June opening until now was jumped ahead of me in line.

Gave another 24 hours to schedule, heard nothing, so I'm posting on social media. Is it because I'm a woman? Or a Senior Citizen? Or is he taking my patience and kindness for weakness? Being older there isn't time to be upset instead of enjoy each day so I'm getting 'the pound of flesh' to make up for his ignoring what he should have done and for his forcing me to post negative review comments.

Reading this you have been warned. Better luck to you if you deal with him!
