Sherwood Elementary School enrolls more than 400 students in prekindergarten through grade five. It has an instructional media center that maintains a stock of more than 18,000 reading materials and books. The special services provided by the school include occupational, physical and speech therapies, and behavior management and psychological counseling. Its extracurricular activities include after school sports, dance, instrumental music and drama. The school offers various life skills programs that develop academic, functional, communication and social skills in students. Its curriculum includes English, language arts, math, science and social studies. Sherwood Elementary School is part of North Shore School District 112.
