Update to review of 7/15/ 13-- After stewing awhile, we took our antique, heirloom clock back to B&M. We insisted on a total redo/re-plate job w/no additional cost to us. It took time [12/21/13], but the clock looks beautiful today...restored as new. Shop owner made good on promise to restore/repair. Still pricier than expected from start, but we're satisfied & happy now. Will give B&M another try in future. They won us back. Thanks B&M Clock Repair. Sometimes you have to be tough...and patient!

Huge disappointment! Recommended by highly respected neighbors. Whole assn. aggravating. Had agreement to repair/restore fam. antique mantle clock to new like new condition incl. re-plating brass finish-cost apprx $500 . In 1 month rec'd call to get clock. It was running, not refinished. Vendor said he "forgot" about re-plating--- he'd redo/send back. Waited approx. 1 more month-no call. Went to get clock/ check status. Clock in pieces due to lost parts vendor said he ordered, & complained plater was charging him more for the job. No mention increased cost would be passed on. No call made to have option to deny, nor amt. given for an upcharge.. 2-3 weeks later, w/ no calls, we went back- again. The clock was very poorly re-plated had pitting all over, w/rough/wavy finish. Needs, at least, thicker plating. Vendor up-charged another $350 w/o notice! A $500 job cost us $850 + tax! Left w/clock-- disgusted. Feel ripped off. Will never use vendor again. Seems nice guy- BEWARE!
