Provided by YP.comI am Italian and rarely eat Italian food in a restaurant, because quite honestly, I can cook better than most restaurants can. I've lived in Italy, and I know what good Italian food is all about.
I've driven past Buon Gusto for years but never stopped in. Last week I came in for a pizza. It was around 3 pm, and still the place had plenty of tables filled. I ordered a medium pizza (their house special), and they made a mistake and baked me a large one, which was nice. The toppings were high quality, fresh and abundant. The crust, however, wasn't as thin and as crisp as I would like it (think of pizza you get Napoli), but almost nobody's is. The crust wasn't bad at all, just wasn't what I was hoping for. I had 20 minutes to sit in the lobby, so I studied their menu, which looked good. I plan on stopping by again to taste the pasta.

Provided by YP.comThis is a delicious place. My favorite is the Alla Dio, magnificent. The place is a little noisy one big open room and gets very crowded, best time to go is around 5. The variety of types of spaghetti noodles are wonderful. Family owned and operated, fantastic staff. Large portions, everyone ,except my Dad of course, takes home leftovers. Highly recommend it to everyone. Wish I lived closer so could visit more frequently. No great pasta places near me in Fullerton.
I ate here for the first time today and the food was FANTASTIC as was the service. I had the Alla Bava Pasta (Wild Mushrooms in a creamy, roasted garlic gorgonzola sauce.) My buddy had the lasagna. Both were large portions and there was plenty to take home. In fact, two could easily share a dish and be satisfied. I also ordered the side salad (came also with crusty bread) and it was tasty and large. I would HIGHLY recommend this restaurant. The only thing I would recommend (for their sake) is that they improve the look of the outside of the restaurant (not too inviting) and spruce up the decor inside. In this case, don't judge a book by its' cover. Go inside and check it out for yourself. Enjoy...

We just tried the place tonight for take out. We had a meatball sandwich and a pizza. The prices were good ($21 for a family of 4) and the food was good. We will go back again.

This restaurant has only been open for a week and the kinks are getting worked out still. So with that in mind we give it three stars. I had the lasagna and my buddy had the whole wheat spaghetti with marinara and a house salad. We both thought the sauces were over powering with seasonings. My lasagna was ooey gooey and generous. I enjoyed it The portion was large and I took half of it home. We will go back to try something else on the menu. Maybe a sub or pizza. The building is an old fast food restaurant, small and unadorned but at a great location on the corner of Warner and Bolsa Chica. Hopefully when it has been opened for a while the service and experience will improve.
