      Martin Sortun Elementary School provides educational and extracurricular programs to students in kindergarten through sixth grade. The school has been recognized as a Washington State School of Distinction. Its parent-teacher association organizes workshops, fundraising events, book fairs, family nights, and choir, band and orchestra concerts. Martin Sortun Elementary School employs counselors, psychologists, nurses, speech pathologists and paraeducators. The school provides special education and English Language Learners programs. It offers special classes in various subjects, such as music, physical education, technology and art. Martin Sortun Elementary School s core curriculum includes English, math, science, social studies and language arts.
