Howard Johnson's Maingate website says "Free Wireless internet in all rooms" NOT TRUE

I called the hotel to see when we could check in, i told him we booked that same morning through priceline.com, the front desk manager said between 2 and 3, we arrived at 245 and we were told we could not check in until 4 because they did not have the reservation in their system. When I asked about the internet i was told only smoking rooms have it but that the closest room building might be able to pick up the signal and he would put me there, but I asked to be upgraded to a smoking room and he said rudely "no no no, I told you I'd put in the the closest building to pick up the signal". I then called priceline.com and told them of the situation, the rep called the hotel front desk, and she stated he told her that he did have the reservation # but wasn't going to let us check in until 4. When we did check in there was a different person at the desk who was courteous.

I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE AND I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THEM. Also while we at the pool, all of the pool guests had bad things to say about the hotel, no one was pleased AT ALL with the hotel. The spa jets were broken and the pool was very small for the ENORMOUS size of the hotel and the surface was VERY rough on our feet.

The room was very outdated, the bed kept sliding off the hand made wooden box and the mattress was horrible, the bathroom fan made a very loud whining sound, the entrance door looked like people have tried to break into the room and it barely looked like it shut and was secure, and the maid left (which i have never seen before) an envelope 'begging' (in my opinion) for tips saying "I have cleaned the room, I know it's not much. Anything is appreciated".

Very close to everything. Great stay.

The rooms were very nice and for the most part clean. The staff was

friendly and helpful.I would recommend Howard Johnson Maingate East.Beautiful hotel.I loved staying here.

It was a very nice hotel.The hotel suite is nicely sized to give an open and comfortable atmosphere.Clean, friendly staff, great comfortable rooms, spacious and quiet.

Needless to say woke up with the first night with a bed bug. Gnats and mites crawling all over got back home and discovered the whole family has been diagnosed with scabies. From the uncleanness of the hotel. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to my worse enemy toilet barely flushed. Address the bug issue with the manager she said it's lovebug season in Florida and I have had roaches in my house.
