      The Council on Aging serves more than 17,000 residents in Osceola County, Fla. The organization provides support to senior citizens. It is funded by the support and generosity of donations, grants and fundraising projects. The Council on Aging offers a wide range of services, including adult daycare, bingo, case management, home repair, commodities, congregate meals, financial counseling and guardianship. The council s health clinic provides examinations, health screenings, counseling, nutrition education and referrals through volunteers, licensed physicians and nurses. It also assists with transportation, fitness and personal care. The Council on Aging s senior center provides a centralized location for community resources, recreational programs and social activities for seniors.
