Founded in 1976, La Grande Middle School is a part of the La Grande School District. The school serves more than 440 students in grades six through eight. It conducts classes in English, math, science and social studies. It offers a range of activities that includes art, music, theater, and technical and physical education. La Grande Middle School operates a band and choir. The school also conducts classes in journalism, keyboarding and business education. It supports a variety of sports activities, such as football, volleyball, basketball, wrestling, and track and field. In addition, it offers a foreign language course in Spanish. The school operates a parent-teacher organization that conducts fundraising activities and special events. La Grande Middle School is located in La Grande, Ore.
