She has a special interest in post-laryngectomy voice and swallow restoration. Linnemeyer is part of the voice and swallow team within Head and Neck Surgery at UC San Diego Health. Prior to joining UC San Diego Health, Linnemeyer worked within a multidisciplinary care model at The University of Kansas Voice and Swallow Center for four years. In 2009, Linnemeyer accepted a multicultural opportunity to work alongside a laryngologist at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital in Singapore, where she diagnosed and treated patients from all over Southeast Asia. During her time abroad, she trained speech pathologists and physicians on post-laryngectomy voice restoration, tracheotomy care, and instrumental swallow assessments including videofluoroscopic swallow studies (VFS) and fiberoptic endoscopic evaluations of swallowing (FEES). Linnemeyer has been active in the community, lecturing at private and local schools promoting vocal health. She was also a guest speaker for World Voice Day, a worldwide annual event where medical professionals and professional voice users gather to bring awareness to, and celebrate, the human voice. An active supporter of laryngectomees, Linnemeyer organized a San Diego Laryngectomee Club for the local community to deliver non-medical assistance and social support to patients and their caretakers. Linnemeyer holds a Certificate of Clinical Competency in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and is also certified in Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT). Linnemeyer enjoys traveling in her spare time and has been to over 45 countries. She enjoys playing basketball, doing yoga, and spending time at both the beach and in the mountains.
