We were outside of Memphis, looking for a hotel room. I was calling around to local hotels, getting quotes from $85 to $125. It was getting dark, and it was raining. We obtained a very clean, excellent room for $39 (with tax, it came to $48). The room had a small fridge and freezer (the freezer was large enough to hold a 10 lb. bag of ice!) and the fridge held the entire contents of our cooler. There was a microwave, so we could heat up dinner, and breakfast the next day. (We had planned on camping, but weather nixed that.) The furniture was in good shape. Even though it was right off I-40, we were on the back side of the building, and there was no highway noise. Other than occasional thumping music from cars at the next door McDonald's drive-through window, this quieted down after 9:00 p.m. I would definitely recommend this motel. Clean, comfortable, cheap, with an oversized fridge and freezer by motel standards, and the bonus of an in-room microwave. We would stay again.
