I've been here about four times. I've waited before, but today was ridiculous. 4.5 hours. I understand emergencies and sometimes they require operations. When they do, there should be a vet on call to come in and take up the overflow caused by this type of emergency. It's $100+ just to walk in the door, but basically they count on the fact that you are going to hang in as long as it takes because you love your pet. If you are there by yourself, you're screwed. You have to take your pet in the bathroom with you, and if you're hungry you can always tackle the lovely vending machine and all of its nutritious goodies. The staff was friendly and they have always done a good job when I've been there, but 4.5 hours is really unacceptable. It's not like you can explain what's going on to your pet. I was told Sundays are always like this - so why not plan for it. Maybe they should talk to managers of restaurants about staffing for busy times.

My 3 yr old GSD have an emergency csection due to a pup that died inside her. No antibiotic was given to her during or after surgery. She bame septic within hrs and nearly died. Another emergency surgery was then required she lost her uterus, and her milk was toxic passed to the pups and one at a time they also passed. It could have all been avoided with an antiobiotics which is the known standard of care, and a no brainier. My vet bills are in the thousands and they are the only ones who are benefiting from their mistakes.

We cant thank Dr. Lori Awadalla and the rest of the staff here enough for their knowledge and expertise. They saved our dog's life. They are kind and compassionate and answered all of our questions. They allowed us to call for updates as frequently as we liked when our dog had to spend several nights in their care. Hopefully another emergent situation doesnt arise again, however if it does we will feel confident in bringing our dog back here.

I hade to to bring my cat here because he was not eating or drinking. After the exam they told me that they would like to do exrays because he may have a blockage in his intestines. We decided to hospitalize him on fluids to see if he could pass the object. Turned out it was a giant hairball(we had just gotten another kitten whom he had been appartently grooming). He was doing great the next morning when my husband picked him up. The staff was professional and honest about all proceedures and costs of treatment. We are so glad they are there!

An after hours emergency visit starts at $97, but when your pet is ill and you're frazzled, it seems a reasonable price to pay. Dr. Weissman was fantastic with my kitten and really put my mind at ease.
