We have been impressed with the professional care provided to our cat and the attention to answering questions during her illness. She is getting old and the vets have really taken excellent care of her for many years.

We've had our two dogs seen here regularly. We recently had our dog put down there. It was clearly awful, but I was shocked by how compassionate the doctor and staff were. They made a miserable process as good as it could have been. I will always feel grateful for how they treated me and my good old dog.

Horrible uncaring vet

had a sick ferret, would not stay open till we could get there so now our 11 year old is distraught because someone is too selfish to stay late on a saturday and his pet will die.

Business Response10/24/2011

This person called well after 11am on the Saturday of Labor Day weekend. We close at 12pm. Our last appointment is at 1040am. This person was asked how long it would take for them to get to our clinic because their regular ferret vet had told them that they would not see their ferret although they were open. So did their regular vet (the one with a relationship) also get slammed for not being able/willing to serve the patient? The caller said 30 minutes because they were on the opposite side of town (and it sounded to me like they were going to take their time loading up). I said that was too late and that I was sorry. The clinic was being disassembled for a complete paint job. There are numerous vets in Lexington open longer on Saturdays than our office. We go the extra mile for a client but to call us and expect me and my staff to stay late for a new client is asking too much. Numerous Lexington clinics are open until 4pm on Saturdays. I hope the ferret did well, but do not feel personally responsible for their stepping on it and my not expecting everyone to stay late for a person and ferret that none of us had ever met. I hope next time they seek veterinary services immediately without delay. I recall that they were listening to breath sounds and had monitored it for a period of time before contacting their vet(not me) who declined to see it. I think it was stepped on on Friday. I recommend that when you establish a vet relationship, especially an exotic species, that you plan what to do in case of emergency. If this person had established us as their provider with routine care I would have seen it after hours on emergency under identical circumstances and this person understood it.

Poor Bedside Manner

When taking my animal to the clinic, the doctor seemed in a hurry and not very polite. I would not recommend!
