Arete Gymnastics is philosophically and fundamentally sound! They create an atmosphere where the gymnast grows physically, mentally and emotionally.

The coaches are well -trained and extremely positive! Basics are coached well and perfected, allowing for a positive and safe environment as the gymnast builds upon their skills. Each gymnast is constantly engaged throughout the entire class, while loving every second of it!

They truly create such a fun, positive and rewarding atmosphere! We couldn’t imagine going anywhere else!

I am not big on writing reviews, but after the terrible experience I had, I felt it was necessary and hope to save someone else from a similar nightmare. If I could give 0 stars I would. This facility is unprofessional and greedy. They just keep adding an overwhelming amount of kids and not enough coaches. They have a couple of good coaches, but recently had a high turnover which greatly affected the gymnasts. If you have a concern, don't expect much to be done about it. If you have questions, be prepared to not have them answered. You will be treated poorly here. Save yourself and your child the drama and pick a different gym. They also charge all this money for every little thing (if you are on team) and then they expect all this volunteer time and donations or they charge you more if you don't volunteer. We wasted just about a year of our time and money at this facility. We are on to bigger and better things at a facility that actually has respect and cares for their gymnasts.

My daughter Deanne Soza is an International Elite Gymnast and started at Arete when she was 4 1/2 years old. Dan and Jana (the head coaches and owners) have supported our daughter in and out of the gym. Last year after competing at the USA P & G Championships, Deanne contracted a bacterial infection in her eyes while traveling. She was blind for two weeks and the doctors did not know if it would be permanent. Dan came often in the morning before coaching to read to Deanne and talk to her so she could keep her spirits up. When her eyes started to improve and the doctors released her Dan worked with her early every morning to get her strengh back. She just qualifed for 2015 P & G National Elite championships. Arete is an amazing gym, and if you want your child to be with the best coaches in Utah, this is where you want to be!
