The Hatch Academy of Magic and Music is an educational institution in Cache Valley, Utah offering private and group instruction in sleight-of-hand and violin performance. Housed in the historic 1878 Thatcher-Young Mansion in downtown Logan, Utah, we also offer monthly matinée performances of magic and music (violin and piano) on the 2nd Saturday of each month at 2 p.m. (tickets limited to just 56, available on our website homepage). Private performances by deceptionist Richard Hatch, violinist Rosemary Kimura Hatch, and pianist Jonathan Hatch are also available. Richard specializes in sleight of hand magic and psychological deceptions, performed both close up and on stage. Lectures on the psychology of deception and the history of magic are also available.

The Hatch Academy of Magic and Music is housed in the historic 1878 Thatcher-Young Mansion at 35 W 100 S in downtown Logan, Utah. Part of the Bullen Center Arts complex, the Mansion is just around the corner from the Ellen Eccles Theater on Main Street
Amenities
On the second Saturday of each month we offer public performances at 2 p.m. at the Thatcher-Young Mansion. These "Matinées Enchantées" are feature the music of Bach, Bartok, Saint-Saens and Kreisler and the music of Robert-Houdin, Hofzinser, Vernon and Malini. The unique feature of these performances is the ensemble performance of magic and music (violin and piano), with the magic choreographed to the music, in addition to solo music and solo magic pieces. The performances are at the Thatcher-Young Theater downstairs at the Thatcher-Young Mansion and seating is limited to just 56, so advance purchase of tickets (available on our website) is highly recommended.
